A Quiet Way of Holding Space
A Quiet Way of Holding Space
Lately, I’ve been reflecting on what it truly means to hold space — not just for others, but in harmony with nature itself.
I am a spaceholder when I lead my women’s circles, and I love doing it with the energy of the Mother and the Priestess. I create a space of calmness, like a quiet sanctuary, a gentle presence, a place for slow breathing where we reconnect with our hearts.
Recently, I met a nature spirit who lives in a hedgerow. He told me about the birds that rest on his branches. Even though he is rooted deeply into Mother Earth, he can still move a little, swaying gently in the wind.
This reminded me of how we, too, can move with grace and gentleness. When we rush through the world, we miss the beauty that surrounds us. But when we slow down, we begin to notice the song of a bird, the bloom of a flower, the warmth of the sun on our face.
The hedgerow becomes a spaceholder, offering shelter and safety to all who come near. It is a cocoon, a meeting place, a space where sound carries the frequency of angels.
I realised that we are always close to nature, even when we forget. We hold space for others in the same way nature holds space for us.
And when I need someone to hold space for me, I go outside. I listen to the birds, lean against a tree, and let nature be my spaceholder.
Everyone responds to different kinds of spaces. Some prefer calm and stillness, others thrive in dynamic energy. What matters most is listening to our deepest needs, so we can feel comfortable, in tune, and safe.
So next time you need to be held, step outside. Let the trees, the wind, and the birds remind you that you are never alone in your stillness.
