Monday Musing: Every Emotion is a Doorway
Part of being human is feeling emotions — both the positive and the negative.
While we naturally prefer the lighter ones, the heavier emotions also visit us from time to time. Sometimes they rise slowly, sometimes they crash like a wave. And that’s completely normal.
What truly matters is how we meet them. Even when we know how to handle emotions in theory, we sometimes lose our temper or forget what we’ve learned. That’s okay too. We’re all learning.
For many of us, emotional awareness wasn’t something we were taught as children, so it takes time and patience to grow into it. But we can get better and better.
So, how do we handle these difficult emotions?
Mama Rose once shared a precious exercise with me — a way to shift our frequency back to love. The Rose is always there, holding a loving frequency, just like a guardian angel who loves us unconditionally.
The 3-Step Rose Practice
White Rose — Cleansing
Acknowledge your emotion without judgement. Be kind to yourself.
Call on Mama Rose and imagine sitting inside a huge white rose.
Breathe deeply and feel the white light swirling around you, carrying away your worries and negative emotions. Let it fill you with purity and peace.
Pink Rose — Love
Now the rose turns soft pink. Feel this colour in your heart, then let it expand through your whole body and around you.
This is the colour of love. When you are filled with love, your frequency rises.
Red Rose — Grounding
Finally, the rose turns red, connecting you to Mother Earth, her wisdom, and your own inner knowing.
Ask yourself: What does this situation want to teach me?
When you’re ready, give thanks to Mama Rose and smile.
Every emotion can become a doorway when we meet it with presence.
